At this Meetup event, we'll discuss means of generating revenue from your group(s). Meetups have lots of members, which are valuable from a marketing perspective. Surprisingly, the Organizers generally don't even recover their Meetup fees, and usually lose money. Strange!

Like you, Chen is busy organizing his own Meetups. He'll share some of his past experience and ideas. Realistically, you're not being charged for this event, so don't expect a prepared presentation, and your contribution will be your input and ideas.
Your groups can become profitable-- join us and learn from each other. Please come to this completely open minded. Meetup is a new generation of group communities, and its potential revenue source may need to be different from historic ones, which are membership fees. By first discarding one's prejudices as to how historic groups generate revenue, you'll be able to better assess how to utilize Meetup to be profitable.
