Looking to Pitch:

We would love to have you pitch at our meetup!  We’ve had some great companies on stage.  In order to present, please fill out the pitch form and pay.  Our community director will be in touch with additional information.  If you have any questions, please email and I’ll be happy to answer any questions.  Each meetup will have 5 presentations that are 5 minutes in length with a 4 minute Q&A from the audience.

                        Brett Hurt  
Brett is a seed-stage investor at Hurt Family Investments (HFI) in partnership with his wife, Debra. HFI are involved in 40 startups and counting. HFI has made 30 startup investments, 13 of which are Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies. Brett has also joined the Advisory Board of ten additional companies, eight of which are SaaS. Out of the 40 startups HFI are involved in, 28 are headquartered in Austin and 21 are SaaS. HFI are also investors in nine venture funds - one with Capital Factory, one with Rothenberg Ventures, two in Silicon Valley that are very high profile and confidential (per their request), one with CAVU Venture Partners, and four with Lead Edge Capital - and these funds hold investments across many startups. You can see a partial list of portfolio companies at To support entrepreneurship through philanthropy, HFI are the founding donors in the UT Discovery Fund at the University of Texas at Austin - a student run fund that will support UT student entrepreneurs in the near future - and are donors to The Wharton School's Entrepreneur Fund, which supports Wharton student entrepreneurs. HFI were one of the top donors to the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas, which supports communities through entrepreneurship, and the founding donors to establish the Bazaarvoice Foundation, which catalyzes the next generation of highly-educated, entrepreneurial youth.
